Contact support

How to reach Evergreen support, what to put in your message so it can be answered quickly, and where to check whether Evergreen is up.

Reach support

Email support@evergreen.carta.com. In the app, Contact support in the Help group of Settings opens a message to support.

Before you write, check the status page. If Evergreen has a known problem, it’s posted there.

What to include

A message that answers these questions can usually be solved without a second round of questions:

  • What you were doing and what you expected. For example, “I approved a plan and expected a pull request.”
  • What happened instead. Include the words on screen if there were any.
  • The session, if there is one. Choose Copy link to this session and paste it. Whoever you write to can only open it if they have access, so say who can.
  • The reference, if you saw one. When something goes wrong on Evergreen’s side, the error message shows a Reference. Choose Copy reference and paste it. If the app shows Something went wrong, the screen shows a reference you can share the same way.
  • Your workspace’s name and when it happened. Say which workspace you were in, since you may belong to several, and roughly when you saw the problem.

Tip

Never put a password, an API key, or a token in a message. A reference and a link are enough for support to look.

For questions about your balance, a charge, or a statement, say so in the subject line and include the amount and the date. See Billing for how charges are made.
